| Action for Lent – email a friend!
Talking of action – perhaps you have seen the Love Life, Live Lent programme which is being rolled out this year Livelent.net. The idea is to celebrate Lent by acting positively to make the world a better place, rather than just giving up things!
In the spirit of this new approach to Lent, we have one suggestion of our own for this year:
Email a friend and suggest that they join Accepting Evangelicals!
Most of us know at least one person who, if encouraged might join, and if we all do this, we could double our membership by Easter!
| | Sexual Orientation Regulations Petition
We have had a number of requests for advice on how to actively support the government legislation giving equality to gay and lesbian people in the public services that are provided.
Although the matter now seems to be resolved for the moment, there is still an on-line petition you can sign if you wish to. Signatures will be accepted until January 2008 Petition.

| | We will seek to engage
constructively with other Evangelicals who oppose the acceptance of such relationships.
| | We will seek to redress the media
and public perception that all Evangelicals are opposed to same-sex relationships.
| | We will also seek to increase
awareness of evangelical pastoral support groups for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgendered Christians.
